SANDY STANDS IN GOOD STEAD

ELLIOT Sandy was hit for six by his shock Spalding United sacking last summer, but believes he returns to the hotseat at AFC Rushden & Diamonds a better manager.
In his only full season at the helm, the 39-year-old led the Tulips to the NPL Midlands title in 202324. He was awarded a two-year contract, but then dumped after just three Southern Premier Central games last term.
