STEVE Claridge returned to the Bob Lucas Stadium for his first league game back in charge of the Terras and he would surely have been heartened by a vastly improved defensive performance following their FA Cup debacle.
While lacking excitement, the game was full of endeavour from both sides who just lacked quality in the final third – just a single shot on target for each over the 90 minutes.
