Pearce is statue-esque

YORK City boss Stuart Maynard says goal machine Ollie Pearce should be honoured with a statue outside the LNER Stadium.
Pearce, 30, has scored 64 times in 91 games since joining the Minstermen from Worthing in 2024.
A 34-goal haul last term earned him back-to-back golden boots, and on Wednesday he was named Player of the Year at the National Game Awards for the second year running.
