POWELL BAGS O’S HOTSEAT

OLDLAND Abbotonians have appointed Jay Powell as the new manager of the Western League Division One side.
Powell, who was part of the coaching team at Hallen during their impressive FA Vase run and has also held key roles with Bitton, fills the vacancy left by Lee Lashenko who had been appointed in January but has moved on to become director of football at Tiverton Town.
The O’s applied for voluntary relegation after finishing in 18th place, third from bottom, in the Premier Division last season.
