Ryan Galvin struck late to keep FC Halifax Town securely in the National League play-off positions, while hammering a blow to Eastleigh’s hopes of joining them.
The Spitfires led through Chris Maguire’s 61st-minute penalty.
However, Galvin’s late leveller means Kelvin Davis’ men now sit seven points behind the play-off spots.
Chris Millington’s Shaymen are punching well above their weight this season – as they often do – but were a tame version of themselves on the south coast in this televised evening kick-off.
