ASHTON turned the form book upside down as three goals inside the first 20 minutes were enough to defeat play-off contenders Spennymoor. The hosts wasted no time making inroads and after Lewis Hawkins had been penalised for handball, Sam Sheridan curled home a fine 22-yard freekick on 15 minutes.
Two minutes later and Sheridan’s long ball won a corner, which saw his own delivery touched back by Matt Regan for Kallum Mantack to finish. It took two minutes for Craig Hobson to extend the lead, starting the move that saw him fire in firs...
