FC UNITED of Manchester took another step closer to relegation as Darlington eased themselves away from a danger with a comfortable victory.
A goal either side of halftime at Blackwell Meadows was enough for the Quakers to secure their sixth home win, a triumph that means they are now ten points above the drop zone. But the Red Rebels – who rang the changes following last week’s 4-0 humbling at home to bottom-of-thetable Nuneaton Borough – are six points away from safety.
