SPARTANS SUFFER AS REDS FIRE HOT

ALFRETON TOWN stretched their unbeaten run to five games with a comfortable victory at Blyth Spartans, who dropped their first points at Croft Park. Goals from Lewis Salmon, Liam Waldock and Kennedy Digie had the game wrapped up for the Reds before the hour mark.
The hosts came into the game in good form having won four home games on the bounce, and they opened the scoring after just eight minutes.
A long throw was headed on by Digie to Waldock who smashed the ball into the roof of the net.
