BEDFORD TOWN kicked off their National League North campaign with a thrilling draw against Alfreton Town at The New Eyrie, thanks to a brace from new signing Tyrone Marsh.
The Eagles, making their return to Step 2 football, started brightly. The home crowd erupted on the 35th minute when Marsh curled in a free-kick to give Bedford the lead. However, Alfreton responded swiftly. Just before halftime, a defensive mix-up allowed Siya Ligendza to slot the equaliser, sending the teams into the break level.
