Great Scott aids Blues’ climb towards target

SCOTT BURGESS’ fourth-minute goal earned Chester a crucial three points in their bid for play-offs.
After controlling the game in the opening minutes, Chester got their reward when former Bury, York City and Port Vale midfielder fired the ball home from long range.
The experienced Declan Weeks then went close five minutes later when his shot from outside of the box drifted wide of the post.
As Curzon Ashton started to get a foot in the game, the Blues almost doubled their lead when Fin Shrimpton fired over from close range.
