OXFORD CITY secured their first first points of the season on Saturday, as a superb Josh Ashby strike proved to be enough at a sweltering Clarence Park.
It came as no surprise that both side’s started slowly in temperatures well over 30 degrees.
During a quiet opening 45 minutes, the best chances fell the way of the hosts. Callum Adebiyi sent a header on target that Ben Dudzinski easily saved, and a few minutes later Neal struck an effort from 20 yards out that failed to trouble the Oxford keeper.
