HONOURS EVEN IN THE REBELS’ DERBY

WORTHING fans were treated to a classic as the clash of the Rebels on the south coast ended even. The hosts had taken a seventh-minute lead from the spot after Slough defender Guy Hollis handled Reece Myles-Meekums’ cross into the box and Javaun Splatt sent the goalkeeper the wrong way from 12 yards.
Worthing keeper Alieu Secka committed a howler ten minutes into his debut when he rushed out and fouled Ben Harris. He escaped with a yellow card, but Scott Davies’ free-kick crept into the bottom corner.
