Saints hold nerve to deny Gulls

TORQUAY saw their lead at the top reduced to two points after being held.
The relegation-threatened hosts burst into the lead in the sixth minute.
Zane Banton picked the ball up in midfield and turned before finding Harrison Smith with a defence-splitting pass. The forward took a touch and directed an effort under James Hamon.
Torquay looked to respond and came close as Sam Dreyer and Jordan Thomas were denied by Michael Johnson.
