NICKY WHEELER struck late as Worthing produced goals at the ends of both halves to keep the destiny of the National League South title in their hands.
The home side created good chances early on, such as when Nico Valentine forced Lucas Covolan into a save at his near post after a quick throw-in.
Worthing took the lead in the last minute of the first half when a corner was not effectively cleared and a shot skewed across the box, helped on by Joe Cook and Temi Babalola poked in.
