DEFENCES came out on top in a scoreless draw between the Seagulls and the Romans, as Scott Bartlett’s men managed to keep pace with the top seven.
Weston’s Reuben Reid poked a cross from Sam Pearson wide inside the opening 10 minutes, before Mitch Beardmore helped a Scott Wilson cross over the bar down the other end.
Scott Wilson dragged a low shot across goal and wide after being flicked through by Alex Fisher, before Joe Raynes tested the palms of Harris from 30 yards after intercepting a pass and going for goal.
