MATT Jay proved to be Torquay United’s super-sub as he pounced to score an 83rd minute winner against Folkestone Invicta.
After a frenetic start to the first meeting between the two sides, United drew first blood in the eighth minute when Jacob Beaumont-Clark cut inside onto his left foot and found the top corner for his first goal for the club.
Former Everton youngster Beaumont-Clark then struck an upright.
