A COMPETITIVE game between two evenly matched teams ended goalless as the tacky surface after the recent storms made it difficult for either side to get the ball down and pass.
There were very few chances, with Marine’s best falling in the first half to Harry Williams, whose shot was smothered by Gosport keeper Adam Parkes. This opening was created by some dribbling wizardry from Michael Fernandes.
