■ BASILDON were blown away by an all-action display from Grays Athletic, with Anointed Chukwu and David Knight both registering hat-tricks and a goal from Danny Gould.
The match was as good as over by half-time, with the visitors going in at the break four goals to the good.
The Bees had no answer to a rampant Grays, Knight opened the scoring after seven minutes, Chukwu added a second eight minutes later, Danny Gould made it four just before the break leaving Bees with a mountain to climb.
