■ PRESCOT CABLES ended a difficult week with a victory against Kidsgrove Athletic.
The Cables had parted company with manager Craig Davies on Thursday.
Mackenzie O’Neill gave the Tigers the lead after 15 minutes when he was left unmarked to tap in from close range. One goal became two shortly afterwards, when Prescot stole the ball off Kyle Diskin. Jason Fulton found Steve Tames who beat Ryan Brown. Prescot were reduced to 10 men just after the break when Louis Sharp saw red for two bookable offences.
