Debutant Nathan Blissett had got the Pitmen off to a flying start in the second minute as he produced a finish from close range. Dom McHale saw a goalbound effort blocked and Isaac Graham shot wide for the visitors.
Niall Watson’s effort was again blocked by the Witton defence, before Albion equalised in the 57th minute. A handball from Joel Taylor gave them a penalty which Ben Harrison slotted home.
