■ BOTH Garforth Town  and Pontefract Collieries came into this match with little to play for except a higher final position in the table.
A frantic opening few minutes saw Garforth’s Sam Cable one-on-one with Colls keeper Lloyd Allinson, but an impressive save prevented a very early opener.
A counter-attack from the visitors led to a cross into Michael Dunn. His effort was skied over the bar, but Harry Flatters collided with him on the follow through.
