TO THE RESCUE: Girlfriend Kat saved Adam by carrying out CPR

FC UNITED star Adam Dodd wants to raise awareness of the importance of CPR and public defibrillators after girlfriend Kat saved his life when he had a cardiac arrest in his sleep.
The 29-year-old defender is now recovering at home having been fitted with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD).
Dodd’s heart stopped just a few hours after he went to bed on June 3 and he is only here today because of the quick thinking of his partner, who is CPR trained, when she heard him “gurgling”.
