Basingstoke Town saw their season out with an impromptu kit change – and a vital message for supporters everywhere.
The Dragons used yesterday’s visit of Southern League Premier South champions Merthyr Town to throw their weight behind an AA charity initiative to highlight the importance of wearing a seatbelt.
As part of the campaign, launched by The AA Charitable Trust, the vertical stripes on Basingstoke’s yellow and blue home shirt were repositioned diagonally to represent the position of a seatbelt.
