ASHFORD failed to produce the goods and struggled against a determined and dogged VCD Athletic.
The game started well for Ashford United and for the first ten minutes it was a pretty even contest with Matt Day & Tyrell Richardson- Brown both going close for United and the visitors striking the bar.
The game very quickly went VCD’s way with three quick-fire goals and a further two before the break.
Westney scored Ashford’s first on his United debut after replacing Lee Shearer early on.
