National Game Awards in association with SCL – Who will land the big team prize?

AS THE saying goes, there’s no ‘I’ in team – and it’s a rule that certainly applies to successful football clubs.

Whoever scoops this year’s Red Insure Team of the Year will have triumphed against some strong competition. It promises to be one of the tightest categories at this year’s National Game Awards.

AFC Fylde and Maidenhead United have been on top form all season, and how about Blyth Spartans and Chippenham Town at Step 3.

Hereford United were the first champions at Steps 1-4 this season, losing only one game before lifting the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier division title. They’ve also topped the 100-point mark as they sealed a second consecutive promotion under manager Peter Beadle.

And we can’t count out South Shields. The Northern League side have enjoyed massive crowds, but they certainly back it up on the pitch.

They’ve won promotion from Step 5 and reached the Buildbase FA Vase final – all while putting together a world record 32 wins on the bounce.

These are just a few suggestions, but we want to hear from our readers who should come out on top this year.
