Connor Essam has joined National League South side Concord Rangers on loan until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old central defender has made 18 National League appearances for the Whites this season, the last being in the 2-0 defeat against Dagenham & Redbridge at Crabble on October 30.
Essam played in Dover’s 1-0 win at Concord in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round earlier this season.
He has played for a number of clubs across Non-League and the Football League. Essam came through the ranks at Gillingham in 2012. He made 18 appearances for Gillingham, spending most of his time on loan at Bishop’s Stortford, Dover Athletic, Dartford and Luton Town.
In January 2013, Crawley Town snapped up Essam from Gillingham on a free transfer and had a loan spell at Dartford.
The following season he joined Dover Athletic and then returned to the Football League after impressing on trial at Leyton Orient. The defender spent a season at Brisbane Road making 24 appearances across the season, during this time he also rejoined Dover on loan.
Following his release from Leyton Orient at the end of the 2015/16 season, Essam joined Eastleigh and had loan spells at Woking and Dover again.
At the end of the season he agreed to depart from Eastleigh and resigned at Dover Athletic where he made 35 appearances.
