■SLOUGH Town’s winless start to the National League South season continued as they lost out to Braintree Town.
The visitors took the lead in the sixth minute when Reuben Swann advanced through the middle before firing a low shot into the bottom corner from outside the penalty area.
Slough responded positively and were level after 31 minutes. Chris Regis’ powerful effort had been parried behind by George Barrett, but from the resulting corner the ball fell to Regis, whose shot found the net despite an attempt to keep it out on the line.
