Craig Tanner becomes Chipstead’s third boss of the season

EX- manager Craig Tanner has replaced Lyndon Buckwell as boss of Ryman South club .

Buckwell, who only replaced Simon Colbran in mid-October, left the Chips on Saturday night after their 4-1 home loss to high-flying .

The defeat left them second from bottom of the Ryman South and ultimately meant the end for Buckwell's brief reign.

Tanner has prior managerial experience in the division having been in charge of the Terrors for almost two years, leaving the club at the end of last season.

His first game in charge of the Chips will be Saturday's trip to before another away game against next Tuesday.

A Chipstead statement read: “We would like to thank Lyndon for all his hard work and efforts whilst at the club. We wish him well for the future.

“We are pleased to announce Craig Tanner as the new first team manager. Craig previously played for Tooting & Mitcham, Sutton, and Met Police before injury cut short his playing career.  He has also managed at Tooting & Mitcham.”
