DARLINGTON put in an impressive performance in their first away fixture of the season, winning at Alfreton Town thanks to a second-half double from Will Hatfield and a sweet strike from Ben Hedley.
The home side saw the first sight of goal early on, with Billy Fewster whipping a wide free-kick to Owen German, but the midfielder failed to direct his header on target.
