The first competitive goal of the 2025-26 season came at Burroughs Park where Soul Tower Hamlets’ Sherman Artmeladze netted after two minutes in a 5–2 defeat of White Ensign.
Kieran James, Steven Carvell, Artmeladze, again, and Samir Bihmoutine got Tower’s other goals, while Riley Weir and Meshack Asuka scored for Ensign in a game marred by three second-half red cards.
Also on Friday night, Romford beat West Essex 4–2 thanks to goals from Ezra Agyiri, Christian Adu Gyamfi, Nick Reynolds and Owen Bellamy.
