Mark Carruthers

Mark is the Non-League Paper’s North East correspondent and is also a weekly columnist.

After learning his trade during a two-and-a-half-year spell as press officer at Blyth Spartans, Mark became editor of the NonLeagueDaily.com website in 2015 and also became a Non-League pundit on the Football Matters television show that aired in the North East between 2015 and 2018.

After opting to go freelance after just over two years with Non-League Daily, Mark became a Non-League writer for North East titles The Chronicle, The Journal, Sunday Sun, Sunderland Echo and Shields Gazette and has also featured in the likes of FourFourTwo and When Saturday Comes.

He has also written for the Non-League Paper since 2017 and has provided in-depth coverage of the North East Non-League scene throughout that time.

Mark is also an ambassador for North East-based charity If U Care Share Foundation.
